Hi there, Well it has been and gone. Our happy couple flew out of Buck Pal by helicopter this morning. Headed, we are told by palace insiders to Richard Branson's Virgin Island paradise -we are swooning with jealousy.

We had the most fab time, breakfast in the sitting room watching the ceremony, followed by an afternoon in the sunshine. The princess Catherine Arch of Love was formally opened and the cake cut underneath it. The ladies took it in turn to hold the knife and much hilarity surrounded the idea that the photos could be spoofed on facebook as proof of 'civil unions'. Sammy, upon a promise of good behaviour, was released from his bedroom and proved himself something of a star in the sausage roll eating stakes.

Lady G, as predicted, stole the show with her hand decorated bonnet with matching ear-rings and shoes. She's a class act.
Lisa proved that she is the girl who can wear the tallest shoes - and how!!
Pamela was most gracious in her forgiveness of Victoria Beckham, that woman simply copied Pamela's dress and hat in a most blatant fashion.
Siobhan got some revenge in by having her picture taken with David.
So, no buck' fizz this morning just the sight of a watery sky and the our Will and Kate union jack bunting looking like it took something of a battering in the night. And oh dear but it's a week to the bins being emptied, so it looks like a trip to the bottle bank might be in order. Such mundane tasks to be attended to now. We can only look forward to her majesty's visit next month tho' there's no hope of a handsome prince coming with her....... .

well not long now, how fab if the weather held up.

In keeping with palace protocol we will only be serving buck's fizz and wine. The Queen thinks beer is a bit common and we couldn't agree more. We are currently up to our neck in sausage rolls though we are unable to confirm what her majesty thinks of this type of food.
What we do know, is that Westminster Abbey has been decorated with mature potted trees. With this in mind, we have put an elderly potted plant in the bathroom - just to keep on theme. Weather permitting, the arch of love will be be-ribboned.
One of our guests - Lady G. (tho' as yet not ga ga!!) informs us that her bonnet has been trimmed with the aid of Pinot Grigio we hope that Grigio has not made a Gok Wan of it!!
We cannot hope to compete with (rumoured) J Zee and Beyonce for entertainment. However there may well be the strains of a frustated jack russell coming from behind his bedroom door. Do not distress yourselves -
he has live streaming on his laptop.

girls be advised, a certain lady may have raised the stakes with her hat!!! space ships are not out of the question. I have put the infant of prague outside in hope of fine weather.

Revised timetable

All those invited are advised that the proceedings will begin at 9.30am, this is in order that we can view as many of the guests arriving at the Abbey as possible. So girls hats and heels earlier than expected.

the postman came

wow. Thanks to Jan and Alan for the lovely royal goodies that arrived in the post. All at the royal wedding breakfast will get great enjoyment from them.......... We all like to rest our head on a royal pillow!!
Sammy and co. are very busy today, power hose in paw, Sammy has seen to it that nobody will be offended by a mucky paving slab- he is so garden proud!!!! Hope the weather holds thru the week-end and he can finish the job.

the arch of love

work is underhand in the garden in hopes of a fine day. we hope to take strawberries and cream in the garden after the cake cutting. in honour of this we have created princess catherine's arch of love. no smutty jokes please!! Sammy has been architect in this project and has ensured that all plants are well watered!!

the offical timetable

very exciting news today. the official timetable of events has been issued by the palace, the kiss on the balcony is due to occur at 1. 25pm. So we will try to be ready to cut the cake as soon as possible after the kiss. More later.

Welcome

On April 29th 2011 in Westminster Abbey HRH Prince William of Wales will marry Miss Catherine Middleton.

We are hosting a Royal Wedding Breakfast and Sammy hopes that all those invited will RSVP as soon as possible to our special email address.  

Please note that those not complying with the dress code may not be permitted to enter the event!!
